Children prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist through a two-year process at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Holy Family students must have attended at least one year of education at a Catholic School or at a parish faith formation before beginning preparation in 2nd grade or higher. Students from other schools need to enroll in Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Children’s Faith Formation Religious Education in first grade. They enroll in Sacramental Preparation in 2nd grade or higher, after completing one year of Children’s Faith Formation Religious Education. Our diocesan guidelines require parents and children to be prepared together in their parish community.
Children need to be in class for a complete year prior to participating in sacramental preparation, either attending Holy Family School or IHM Faith Formation classes.
Our next weekly classes for Sacramental Preparation will start in the Fall 2017 and continue into Spring of the following year for the sacraments of “Reconciliation” and “Holy Communion”. Online information for the upcoming series of classes will be posted later in the summer. Irene Fritzler firstname.lastname@example.org our Sacramental Preparation Minister, is available to discuss with you the process of sacramental preparation for your children. You can also contact the parish office for additional information Monday-Friday from 9AM to noon and 1PM to 5PM at 970-242-6121.

Thank you Fr. Don and Deacon Leo for a very memorable First Holy Communion Mass celebration on Saturday, May 6th 2017. Special thanks to Abby Kaul & Taryn Hill for preparing our families & children to encounter Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Charley Mishmash again provided his photography skills while a kitchen crew prepared the reception afterwards. We have much to be thankful for! Alleluia! Amen!
