I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy in 1977. My husband, David, and I met at CU in 1971 and after living in Los Angeles while he attended UCLA dental school we moved to Grand Junction where he was born and raised. We have two adult daughters.
I became a member of the parish in 2015. I have worked for City Market in some capacity since 1981. I volunteered as the Consultant Pharmacist for Marillac Clinic from 1998-2008. I served on the board of the Grand Mesa Youth Soccer organization for 3 years from 1997-2000.
In January, 2016, my wife, Irene, and I moved from Bakersfield, California (where we were both born and raised), to Grand Junction. We joined Immaculate Heart of Mary parish upon our arrival.
I retired from the Kern County Superior Court where I had served as a Court Commissioner (subordinate judicial officer) for twenty years, handling primary family law cases. I was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978 and practiced law in Bakersfield until taking the bench in 1995.
I was received into the Catholic Church in 1979, shortly before my marriage to Irene and we have three grown children and four grandchildren.
Both Irene and I have tried to be active in our parish and our faith by becoming Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, teaching confirmation to high school students and also teaching RCIA.
